Cases of acne can range from very mild and barely noticeable to very prevalent and highly visible. Acne, while not life-threatening, often has a very big impact on self-esteem and can lead to scarring and even disfigurement in severe cases.

Nearly all of us have had to deal with acne at some point in our lives. This embarrassing skin problem usually affects the face or quite possibly the neck or down the chest. However some people also develop acne breakouts on their back, usually in the form of pimples, blackheads or other forms of acne similar to what develops on other areas of the body.

Unlike the skin on the face the back is a very tough area and can usually handle both medications. However, you may still want to try one area for a few days with both medications before treating the entire back. The area to the rear of the arm pit can get irritated from alpha hydroxyl, so you may want to avoid that area.

Home Remedies for Back Acne

Wash the back acne with herbal soap rather than chemical. The usage of Neem (Indian Herb) is considered as the best.

Use soy sauce for an astringent, you know it works because you get that
tingling feeling. It has no hare''s chemicals so it does not sting. It
has soy in it of course so it healing to the skin so it is really good
for the skin. Witch you need if you acne suffer.

Orange peel pounded well with water. Applied to affected acne areas. Drinking at least 1 liter of water a day to impart a healthy glow to the skin.

One can apply ripen tomato''s pulp on back acne for an hour and then it is to be washed with lukewarm water.


Exercise and learning to manage stress can also help prevent acne. Exercise helps the body sweat out toxins and regulates all the body''s organs, including the skin. Though stress itself is not thought to cause acne, hormones can aggravate the condition. Therefore managing stress can help regulate its hormones thus preventing acne flare-ups. Natural, topical acne remedies include aloe vera gel, zinc, and vitamins A, C, and E.

Egg white is considered to be good for nourishing the skin. Apply egg-white simply on the affected area.


The most popular prescription acne remedies include topical creams and oral medications. Topical creams such as Differin gel, Retin-A, Tazorac, and Duac contain ingredients like vitamin A, benzyl peroxide, and salicylic acid which help treat pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads as well as wrinkles and sun damage in adult acne sufferers.

Take rose water and extract of juice of lemon in equal quantity. Use this mixture on the back acne for about half an hour. Afterward this is to be washed with fresh water. The whole procedure is to be done for minimum 15 days.

An application of fenugreek leaves over the back acne every night for about fifteen minutes and then washing it with lukewarm water is considered to be beneficial.
