Bach at Zwolle. Michael Murray, organ. Telarc CD-80385.

Bach at Zwolle. Michael Murray, organ. Telarc CD-80385.

There are two attractions in this disc. First, there are the selections played -- Preludes BWV BWV Backwater Valve
BWV Bachwerkverzeichnis (cataloging prefix for works of composer J.S. Bach)
BWV Board Walk Villas (Disney resort)
BWV Borderless World Volunteers

By Johann Sebastian Bach
  • Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 565 - the best known "Toccata and Fugue", for organ
  • Toccata and Fugue in D minor, BWV 538 - aka Dorian
BWV 540, Fantasy on Valet BWV 735, and several others -- which are done up in brawny brawn·y

, bracing style by organist Michael Murray. But a second claim on the listener is the disc's reproduction of two distinctly different-sounding organs -- the older and justly famous Great Schnitger organ in St. Michael's, Zwolle, and the organ at St. Nicholas Church, Kampen.
