Babylon Library closes book on Phase One of renovation.Babylon Public Library announced that it has finished Phase One of its $5 million dollar expansion and renovation project. The library, whose current location opened in 1968, has been renovated only once since it opened its doors over 30 years ago. In order to expand the library, a new building had to be constructed on the existing library parking lot.
