Baby P child abuse march.


A PROTEST march is being planned in Newcastle for Baby P.

Hundreds of families are expected to take to the streets, as part of a day of marches in cities on December 13.

Despite 60 visits by the authorities, the 17-monthold died after suffering more than 50 injuries at the hands of his mother, her boyfriend and a lodger.

Three doctors had warned Baby P appeared to be suffering abuse before his death on August 3 last year and the tot was visited over eight months by care workers from Haringey Council, London.

Shockwaves from the tragedy were felt on Tyneside and parents have formed an online community to share their grief.

In a show of solidarity, people in Newcastle will take to the streets at the same time as a march planned outside the Old Bailey Old Bailey

Protestors are expected to march to Downing Street Downing Street, Westminster, London, England. The Newcastle march will start by the War Memorial, outside the Civic Centre, between 11am and 11.30am, before setting off down Northumberland Street, Pilgrim Street, and Market Street.

The route will finish at The Laing Art Gallery The Laing Art Gallery in Newcastle Upon Tyne in North East England is located on New Bridge Street. It was founded in 1901, and opened in 1904. It is now managed by Tyne and Wear Museums and sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. .
