Baan Announces Software Partners Program; Teams with Key Providers to Offer Tailored Supply-Chain Solutions.

MENLO PARK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 1996--Baan Company (NASDAQ:BAANF; ASE:BAAN) today announced it has established a Software Partners Program with key third-party software providers to bring added openness, robustness and flexibility to Baan TRITON, giving its customers the highest level of customization options in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) market.

Baan is partnering with B.A. Intelligence Networks Inc. (BAIN), Berclain, Business Objects, i2 Technologies, Inc., Interactive Software Systems Inc. (ISSI), Premenos, SQL Systems, and Wonderware Corporation to extend Baan TRITON functionality based upon each company's proven track record and area of expertise.

The areas in which these partners will provide functionality include scheduling, plant maintenance, product data management, shop floor control and execution systems, information management/data access technologies, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). Baan will be rolling out additional information on the scope of the program in the coming weeks and months.
