BYTE Magazine picks best products at Computex Taipei '96; editors give Best of Show Award to AcerNote Nuovo.


TAIPEI, Taiwan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 1996--The editors of BYTE Magazine gave the AcerNote Nuovo their Best of Show award at Computex Taipei '96 today.

BYTE's Best of Computex awards recognize the most important and innovative products at Computex, the largest computer show in Asia. The Nuovo from Acer Incorporated (Taipei, Taiwan) is an aggressively priced, feature-rich notebook computer with an innovative power-management system that greatly extends battery life.

The winners and finalists in other categories are:

Best Portable

The AcerNote Nuovo from Acer. This feature-rich notebook computer includes a 6x CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.
