IT'S not every day a multi-millionaire drops in and passes on some advice.

But legendary fashion guru guru (g`r, gr`  George Davies, in Wrexham yesterday to officially open Per Una at the new Eagles Meadow Eagles Meadow is a shopping development located in the centre of Wrexham. Construction work began in May 2006 and is due to be completed in late 2008. The 400,000 sq ft centre once completed will house over 40 stores, multi-screen cinema, bowling alley and a selection of restaurants and  Marks and Spencer, did just that when he called at Wrexham FC's official shop next to the Racecourse.

Liverpool-born Davies, 67, the man who built fashion empires George at Asda, Next and Per Una at M&S, spent time chatting to Wrexham owner Geoff Moss and Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry Rick Parry (born on 23rd February 1955) is the chief executive of Liverpool Football Club, and former head of the FA Premier League. Rick Parry was educated at Ellesmere Port Grammar School and the University of Liverpool.

"He was in Wrexham for the official opening of Per Una and he needed somewhere to land his helicopter," said Mr Moss.

"He has a strong connection with Liverpool and knows about our connection so he asked if he could land his helicopter here.

He popped into the shop and gave us loads of advice and ideas on what to do to make the shop more commercial."

The man listed as having a personal fortune of pounds 120m was picked up by his helicopter at Wrexham's Colliers Park training ground right next to the pitch where a Dragons reserve side was having a training match with an Everton side.
