BUT IS IT PROFITABLE?

Digital Insight Corp. and Celent Communications report that Internet banking and other electronic finance services--specifically Digital Insight's services-can achieve significant returns on investment for participating financial institutions. How profitable? The report concludes that a typical institution implementing Digital Insight's services can achieve a net present value of more than $5 per customer, or a return on investment of more than 60 percent. "For financial institutions still lingering over the decision to go online, this study provides a strong case for offering e-finance," says Octavio Marenzi, Celent's managing director. www.digitalinsight.com
