BUSS AND BUST AT THE FAIR.Byline: The Register-Guard Members of the Cirque de Bustier (top photo) performance group kiss along the path of the Oregon Country Fair The Oregon Country Fair (OCF) is a three-day fair that takes place yearly beginning on the Friday of the second weekend in July in Veneta, Oregon, approximately 15 miles west of Eugene, with an attendance of approximately 45,000 over the three day period, with attendance peaking in Veneta on Friday. Holly Near, the Cafe Ramblers, Artis the Spoonman Artis the Spoonman is an American street performer from Seattle, Washington, born in Kodiak, Alaska, on 3 October, 1948 who plays music with a set of spoons. He also can play two flutes simultaneously with his nose, and do a wide variety of amazing feats with bubbles. and dozens more acts appear today at the fair, which runs through Sunday. Free Lane Transit District shuttle buses leave from two locations in Eugene; tickets can be purchased at any Ticketwest location. Members of the performance group Diva Galactika (below) entertain the long line of people entering the fair.
