They started making it available for community use - free of charge. That was in 1999. Though it turned out to be the best solution all round, it came about by complete chance. Organization and Beliefs The Salvation Army has established branches in 100 countries throughout the world. . "We had been using their car park for deliveries, and when they moved elsewhere we decided to buy the site which left us with a hall we didnt need," said Alan. Coventry City Council offered to match, through SRB funding, to match investment in refurbishing the main hall of the building subsequently renamed the Broad Street Meeting Hall.
