Well, Kenilworth entrepreneur Charles McGibbon has come up with a solution which he hopes will turn into a money-spinner.

He, too, shared the frustration of many gardeners anxious to get their hanging baskets and pots out early in the spring, but fearful of weather damage.

But when he saw a windsock fluttering at a local airfield, it gave him an idea, which eventually resulted in a new product: the Double Draw.

The secret of the Double Draw is that there is no need to weight or tie it down.

It slides over the plant, basket or pot and is secured by pulling the drawstrings at each end.

It is made of horticultural hor·ti·cul·ture

Mr McGibbon decided to pursue a career as an entrepreneur after being made redundant as a lecturer at Tile Hill Tile Hill is a suburb in the west of Coventry. As a keen gardener, he was drawn towards developing garden products. His company Double Draw and Garden House Products already has three more new products in the pipeline.
