THE Ford Transit The Ford Transit is a range of panel vans, minibuses and pickup trucks, produced by the Ford Motor Company in Europe.

The Transit has been the best-selling light commercial vehicle in Europe for 40 years, and in some countries the term "Transit" has passed into common usage
 is the star of a pounds 289 million deal between Ford Motor Company and BT - the biggest single fleet deal in Ford's history.

BT operates a fleet of 22,000 medium-sized commercial vehicles and the three-year contract will supply the telecommunications company See telecom company.  with long and short wheel base diesel Transits.

Steve Parker Dr. Steven Parker (better known as "Steve" or "Stevo") is a fictional character in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. The character, played by Steve Bastoni, debuted on screen on July 23, 2007. , Ford's commercial vehicles director, said: "Our relationship with BT goes back over 15 years and is built on the strength of the Transit product and its outstanding reputation for durability and low cost of ownership."

Ford has been supplying Transits to BT since 1986 and also has a three- year contract which began in 2001 to supply cars on the firm's user-chooser scheme which includes every vehicle in the Ford range.

BT will be one of the first to receive Ford's new light commercial vehicle the Transit Connect.

The Ford Transit has been the UK's best-selling commercial vehicle for 36 years, since its debut in 1965, and has sold over four million worldwide. The new Ford Transit continued the award-winning Transit's success - being named Van of the Year 2001 and taking several other awards across Europe.
