 are celebrating success in the Deloitte & Touche Midlands Fast 50 Technology awards, after picking up eight ranking awards and two special awards.

Coventry-based online communications specialist Networks Newmedia Ltd scooped second place with a growth rate of 317 per cent between 1998 and 2000, while last year's Fast 50 winner, internet design and consultancy house, bit 10 Ltd, continued its healthy performance by claiming fourth place with a growth figure of 310 per cent.

 Ltd picked up an award for fifth place, after recording 291 per cent growth.

This year two special awards were given to Warwick-based 1st Software and The Message Pad (1) To fill a data structure with bits or characters. See padding.

, for being first two years ago and coming in the top ten each year since.

The Message Pad, which offers combined hardware and software solutions for contact centres as well as managing them, was presented with an award for the highest percentage increase in employees.

Staff numbers have gone up from 12 to 110 over two years.
