IS THIS YOUR FIRST BUSINESS? No

WHY DID YOU START THIS BUSINESS? There was a real need to provide productions with a means to view and manage their purchases and constructed assets online to allow them to see disposition and value to make informed decisions.

WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA? I (Mike) worked at Universal Studios for 27 years and recognized a need because of the huge storage costs and loss due to lack of information available to executives.

HOW LONG FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING? Seven years.

WHAT DID YOU DO DURING THAT TIME? We refined the concept and designed intricate software that tracks, rents, sells and manages assets online.

WHAT WERE YOUR STARTUP (STARTing UP) "At startup" means when the computer is first turned on or when a program is first loaded. See Startup folder.  COSTS AND HOW DID YOU FINANCE THE BUSINESS? Around $300,000, mostly for software development, and we self-financed.

WHO ASK FOR ADVICE? Our own combined 60 years of experience in the industry.

Sets, props, wardrobe, set dressing, equipment and film will all be available at much reduced prices. The public can now purchase production leftovers on hollywoodparts.com. We also allow the public to store their items with us and we place them for rental in movies and television.
