Majlinda Haxhiaj of Worcester has been promoted to assistant vice president at Clinton Savings Bank and has transferred from manager of its West Boylston branch to manager of the bank's main office at 200 Church St., Clinton. Before moving to the United States, Ms. Haxhiaj was a manager for the National Commercial Bank of Albania. She earned master's degrees at the University of Tirana in Albania and Nichols College.

Kim H. Corwin of Northboro has been appointed a plan counselor at Westland Services Corp. of Westboro. Ms. Corwin was previously senior quality manager for Accenture in Wellesley and director of performance improvement at Bay State Gas. She founded New Leaf Financial Counseling in Northboro. Westland Services maintains family cemetery plots in the United States and Canada.

Michael A. Refolo of Shrewsbury has joined the Worcester law firm of Mirick O'Connell as a partner in its business and corporate law group. He was previously a partner with Bowditch & Dewey LLC of Worcester. Mr. Refolo is a commissioner of Shrewsbury Electric Light and Cable Operations. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia and a law degree from the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America.

L.S. Starrett Co. of Athol has hired Robert J. Simkevich of Londonderry, N.H., as corporate controller. Mr. Simkevich received a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA in accounting from Plymouth State College.

Wayne J. Texeira of Berlin has joined Murphy Insurance Agency of Hudson as marketing director. Mr. Texeira was vice president, marketing director at Fidelity Bank of Leominster and regional sales manager for Marquis Software Solutions in Plano, Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree from Merrimack College and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and holds the designation of certified financial marketing professional for the Institute of Certified Bankers.

William A. Hollis of Napierville, Ill., has been appointed Telecast Fiber Systems Inc.'s Midwest regional sales manager. Mr. Hollis has more than 20 years of experience in the video and broadcast industry. Before joining Telecast, he was product manager for Stratos International and senior studio engineer for Harpo Studios, the headquarters of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." Telecast produces portable and fixed fiber optic systems for television broadcast production and is based in Worcester.

John J. Perez of Worcester has been appointed general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Westboro. Mr. Perez has more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry, most recently as general manager for Hawthorn Suites in Arlington. Mr. Perez holds professional designations from the American Hotel/Motel Educational Institute and has a master's degree from the University of Massachusetts.
