John J. Argitis of Sturbridge has been promoted to president of G&F Industries in Sturbridge. He previously served as vice president. Founded in 1962, G&F specializes in precision plastic injection molded parts, contract manufacturing, injection molds and assemblies.

Dan Beressi has been promoted to senior strategic sourcing manager at TD Banknorth in Portland, Maine. He is a graduate of Columbia University and received a master's in business administration from the University of Chicago. A native of Worcester, he joined the bank in 2005.

George & Co. announces that Allison F. Hebert of Leicester has been promoted to assistant vice president. She has been with the Worcester firm five years and previously was director of transaction services. Worcester-based George & Co. has provided merger, acquisition and business brokerage services to New England companies.

Marlborough Savings Bank has named Suzanne M. Dupre as human resources officer. She has 17 years' experience in management, most recently as the human resources manager for Lowe's. In her new post, she will be responsible for recruitment, benefits and salary administration and employee relations. She is a resident of Northbridge.

Pam A. Pinto of Realty Direct Metrowest in Westboro has been elected chairman of the Worcester chapter of The Real Estate Cyberspace Society. Ms. Pinto brings 22 years' experience in residential and commercial real estate. Boston-based RECS has more than 9,000 members in more than 120 chapters worldwide. She lives in Westboro.

Brett Salmonson of Oxford has been named community relations manager for Harmon Home Health. A graduate of Northeastern University, she has several years of experience in private home health care in the Worcester area. She is co-chairwoman for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce's Ambassador's Committee, holds a seat on the advisory board for the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging, and is a member of the National Association of Professional Women.

Patty D. Doherty of Worcester was honored with the NAFSA: Association of International Educators Region IX's Rising Professional Award for her work as an intercultural educator. She is senior assistant director of the Office of Intercultural Affairs at Clark University. Ms. Doherty is a graduate of Fairfield University and received a master's degree from Montclair State University. She has worked at Clark since 2006.

NAPA Boston Auto Parts Distribution Center announces that Jim Gardner of Sterling, owner of Gardner Automotive in Worcester, is the 2008 NAPA/ASE Technician of the Year. Mr. Gardner's business is serviced by NAPA Auto Parts in Worcester. He is an ASE Certified Master Automobile Technician and eight areas, and is an Advanced Level Specialist in engine performance.
