BUSINESS NOTES UNIVERSAL SHUFFLES TELEVISION DIVISION.


Hoping to increase its global distribution for filmed entertainment, Universal Studios announced Friday it has reorganized its television distribution operation under Universal Pictures.

Under the new structure, Universal Studios Television Distribution will become a division of Universal Pictures.

USTD USTD United States Treasury Department  is responsible for the global distribution of feature films and television product for Universal Studios in all forms of television across all delivery systems.

 Co. hopes to make the world an even smaller place by launching its DisneyWorld.com resort site in several different languages.

Disney's Parks and Resorts Online division said Friday it hopes to draw more visitors by offering Spanish, German, French/Canadian, English/Canadian and UK English versions.

There are plans for future versions targeting Spanish-language visitors from Mexico and Argentina and one in Portuguese for visitors from Brazil.

Until now, the theme park sites were in one of two languages - English and Japanese.

Northrop extends Litton stock offer

Northrop Grumman Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) is an aerospace and defense conglomerate that is the result of the 1994 purchase of Grumman by Northrop. The company is the third largest defense contractor for the U.S.  Corp. announced Friday that it extended its pending tender offer for the common and preferred stock Stock shares that have preferential rights to dividends or to amounts distributable on liquidation, or to both, ahead of common shareholders.

Preferred stock is given preference over common stock. Holders of preferred stock receive dividends at a fixed annual rate.

Easyriders bumps interim to full CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  

Agoura Hills-based Easyriders Inc. on Friday announced that J. Robert Fabregas was appointed chief executive officer and president.

Fabregas was named interim CEO in October when William Prather resigned as chief executive officer as a consequence of the company's sale of M&B Restaurants L.C., its restaurant subsidiary doing business as El Paso Bar-B-Que Co., to Culinary Holdings Inc.

Fabregas continues to serve as chief financial officer.

The company also announced that Mark S. Dodge has been named executive vice president, general counsel and secretary.
