BUSINESS NOTES ROCKETDYNE WINS NASA CONTRACT.


CANOGA PARK - Boeing Co.'s Rocketdyne unit won a $65 million contract as part of NASA's $767 million Space Launch Initiative. The company did not comment on the project.

Salem purchases Spanish station

CAMARILLO - Salem Communications Corp., a provider of Christian-oriented radio, electronic and printed resources, has agreed to buy Pacific Spanish Network Inc.'s KLNA-FM (105.5) in Sacramento for $8 million.

The two companies signed a local marketing agreement to turn operation of the station over to Salem immediately. The company anticipates closing these transactions during the second half of 2001.

KLNA-FM is a dance music station that will join Salem's growing roster of contemporary Christian music Contemporary Christian Music (or CCM; also by its religious neutral term Inspirational music) is a genre of popular music which is lyrically focused on matters concerned with the Christian faith.  stations, called ``The Fish'' formats. Salem operates these formats in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago and Cleveland, all stations acquired by Salem in the last year.
