PANORAMA CITY - Ricon Corp, local manufacturer of wheelchair access systems, has sold its assets in specialty vehicles to Thor Industries Inc. based in Jackson Center, Ohio Jackson Center is a village in Shelby County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,369 at the 2000 census. Since 1952, Jackson Center has been the home of the popular Airstream travel trailers and motor homes. .

 President Arturo Rodriguez said Wednesday that the AFL-CIO will donate an estimated $20,000 to Ventura County workers.

Pictsweet Mushroom Farms employs more than 300 workers, and union supporters have been trying to negotiate a contract for more than a year. Earlier this year, the state blocked an attempt by anti-union workers at Pictsweet to oust the UFW.

Clorox chief exec joins Mattel board

G. Craig Sullivan, chief executive officer of The Clorox Co., was elected to Mattel's board of directors Thursday.

At Clorox, Sullivan has held a number of key jobs, including group vice president with overall responsibility for the global manufacturing and marketing of products for laundry, cleaning and food service, as well as the corporate purchasing and distribution functions.

Sullivan also serves as a director of Levi Strauss & Co., the Grocery Manufacturers of America and the Bay Area Council.
