WESTLAKE VILLAGE - Homestore.com is acquiring iPlace Inc. The locally based Homestore, an online real estate brokerage, had interest in iPlace for its credit and neighborhood information.

The $150 million deal involves $70 million in cash, and will bring considerable traffic to Homestore's site. IPlace already receives 9.1 million monthly hits, and boasts a paid subscribership of 600,000.

NetSol's new face to focus on Asia

Punish Microsoft, government says

WASHINGTON - Microsoft should be punished quickly for its monopoly behavior, because delay only further disrupts the computer market, Justice Department lawyers argued Friday.

US Airways sees big loss in future

ARLINGTON, Va. - US Airways said Friday it anticipates a loss of $160 million in the third quarter because of reduced spending by business travelers.

The Arlington-based carrier also warned investors about a $405 million pretax charge it will record to reflect the declining market value of its fleet.

The projected loss, which excludes unusual items, translates to $2.38 a share. US Airways lost $30 million, or 45 cents a share, in the third quarter of 2000.

The decision from the High Court in London curtails the ability of the wrestling group to promote itself, and will force it to abandon its Web address. The Stamford, Conn.-based company said it would appeal.

Justice Robin Jacob ruled that the wrestling group had breached a 1994 agreement between the two sides that limited its use of the initials.

In a written judgment, Jacob said it was understandable the fund did not want to be associated with the wrestling group.
