 Technology Inc. announced Tuesday that IPS MeteoStar, a global supplier of remote data-logging systems that communicate information back to customers real-time via satellite, will begin distributing products with DCH portable fuel cells serving as the internal electric power supply.

MeteoStar's customers include the Air Force, the Navy, and several state environmental agencies.

ELabor.com takes over companies

CAMARILLO - ELabor.com has taken over SkillSet Software Inc. and its subsidiary, Search Advantage Inc. The workplace management firm acquired the others in an all-cash transaction designed to integrate its services more efficiently. Terms of the deal were not announced, but the company said that many of SkillSet's workers will be retained.

Pacific Crest sets quarter's dividend

AGOURA HILLS - Pacific Crest Capital Inc.'s board of directors has declared an $0.08 per common share cash dividend for the second quarter of 2001.

The dividend will be payable to shareholders of record as of the close of business June 1 and will be paid on June 15.

Tom Vellios, president and chief executive, blamed the company's rapid expansion, including acquisition of 60 stores and opening of 27 new ones, and a difficult retail climate for the company's financial problems.

He said the ``absence of 'hot' product'' compounded the situation and led to declining sales.

Zany Brainy operates 187 stores in 34 states including outlets in Glendale, Northridge, Canoga Park, Valencia and Thousand Oaks. Trading in its shares was halted on the Nasdaq Stock Market Nasdaq stock market
