BUSINESS NOTES AMPLIFIER MAKER ACCUSED OF FRAUD.


CAMARILLO - California Amplifier Inc. has been sued for allegedly disclosing financial results for the fiscal year 2000 that were materially false and misleading, it was announced Friday.

The company and certain of its senior officers have been accused of violating securities laws by a client of Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP PLLP Professional Limited Liability Partnership (business operating entity)  and Wolf Popper An early Unix POP server, which was written at the University of California at Berkeley.  LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  in a class-action lawsuit brought in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.

The lawsuit was brought on behalf of all persons who purchased California Amplifier common stock on the open market between April 7, 2000, and March 28, 2001.

KB Home dividend to be paid in May

KB Home has declared that a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock will be payable on May 25 to shareholders of record on May 11, 2001.

Magazine names Syncor in its top 3

WOODLAND HILLS - Syncor International Corp. said Friday that it has been named by Business Week as a top performer among S&P SmallCap 600 Index companies.

Syncor was ranked third out of the 600 companies making up this index. To determine its rankings, Business Week ranked the stocks in the index by one- and three-year stock market performance as of Feb. 16, 2001. Business Week then added these two rankings to develop the overall ranking.

Syncor International Corp. provides services for nuclear pharmacy Nuclear Pharmacy involves the preparation of radioactive materials that will be used to diagnose and treat specific diseases. It was the first pharmacy specialty established in 1978 by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. , medical imaging, niche manufacturing and radiotherapy.

RadioShack stock dips after warning

FORT WORTH, Texas Fort Worth is the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas, 18th-largest city in the United States[1], and voted one of "America’s Most Livable Communities.  - Electronics retailer RadioShack Corp. warned Friday of lower first-quarter profits because of smaller gross margins in sales of satellites, computers and some wireless phone offerings.

Investors responded by sending shares down 26.5 percent.

Earnings per share for the Fort Worth-based company are expected to drop to between 31 cents to 33 cents for the first quarter of 2001, down from 34 cents during the same period last year, the company said Friday.

New sell-off hits Motorola stock

CHICAGO - Motorola Inc.'s already-ailing stock crumbled 23 percent to an eight-year low Friday in a frenzied sell-off touched off by fears it will report more bad news next week and speculation - strongly denied by the company - that it's running out of cash.

The problems led to increased speculation that Motorola might have its credit rating reduced.

After seeing its shares plunge 30 percent in six hours of trading, wiping out about $10 billion in on-paper value, the telecommunications giant issued a statement with 20 minutes left in the session declaring that despite its problems: ``Motorola today is financially sound.''
