MCI Communications was an American telecommunications company that was instrumental in legal and regulatory changes that led to the breakup of the AT&T monopoly of American telephony and

USA, Ticketmaster come to agreement

USA Networks Inc. has agreed to buy Ticketmaster Group Inc. for about $400 million, or $29.70 a share, in stock, boosting its bid 17 percent after protests by Ticketmaster executives and investors that the first offer was too low.

In October, Chairman Barry Diller offered about $340 million, or $25.30 per share, in an unsolicited bid for the half of Ticketmaster that USA Networks doesn't own.
