EARNINGS

California Amplifier Inc. reported a fourth-quarter sales increase of 58 percent from $11.5 million to $18.1 million and a year-end sales gain of 35 percent, going from $45.7 million to $61.6 million. Net income for the year more than doubled, increasing from $2.5 million (22 cents a share) to $4.96 million (41 cents). All per share amounts have been adjusted to reflect a two-for-one stock split on Feb. 16. Camarillo-based California Amplifier designs, manufactures and markets a broad line of amplifiers, down-converters, antennae and integrated products for the reception of microwave signals.
