Xircom Xircom, Inc. was based in Thousand Oaks, California, with manufacturing facilities located in Penang & Malaysia and international offices throughout Europe and Asia Pacific. They were one of the first companies to develop network computing products for notebook computers.  Inc. has opened a manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia. The plant began limited operations in the fall with the first production run expected to be fully operational by March. The plant will replace Jabi Circuit Inc. of Florida as Thousand Oaks-based Xircom's manufacturer of personal computer adapters and modems.

Right Start Inc. has filed a statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission about its proposed rights offering to shareholders. Under the proposal, stockholders would receive the right to purchase one-quarter of a share of common stock for each share held on the record date. The Westlake Village-based clothing retailer has not set a record date. Estimated proceeds of $5 million will go to pay for retail expansion and general corporate purposes.
