BUSINESS LIFE: COMMERCIAL PROPERTY: First unit opens at Trillennium scheme.


EUROPE'S largest supplier of aluminium to the aerospace industry has landed the first unit to open at Wrenbridge Land Ltd's new Trillennium scheme at Highway Point in Coleshill.

All Metal Services Ltd has more than doubled the size of its Birmingham facility by relocating to the 49,345 sq ft self-contained distribution and office unit developed jointly by Wrenbridge and Morley Fund Management Morley Fund Management is a UK-based asset management company and is part of the Aviva group. It has global assets under management of over £156 billion,[1] including:
 and built by Coleshill-based Ashford Construction Projects Ltd.

The metal stockholder has moved from a 20,000 sq ft unit at Elmdon Trading Estate trading estate

The move, which will create jobs for six new warehouse employees, will enable AMS AMS - Andrew Message System  to meet increasing demand for aluminium rolled products and other metal materials in various forms from clients including Airbus UK, BAe Systems, Shorts/Bombardier and GKM GKM Global Knowledge Management, Inc.  Westland Aerospace.,

Terry Stocker, joint managing director of AMS, which has seven distribution centres throughout the country, said: "Having recently won a pounds 10 million contract to supply the total aluminium plate requirement for Airbus UK, we were looking to expand our Birmingham operation and Trillennium fitted the bill in terms of capacity, accessibility and immediate availability."

He added: "The proximity of our new premises to our old facility has also meant that our highly valued Birmingham workforce has been able to move with us - and we are also looking to recruit another six warehouse staff."

Jamie Hockaday, associate director for Wrenbridge, said: "We are delighted that such a major company has acquired the first unit at Trillennium - one of the most sought after locations in the Midlands.

"We are also receiving strong interest in the remaining 35,930 and 33,630 sq ft units on the site."

Wrenbridge specialises in prime commercial developments - particularly business parks and industrial, office and retail accommodation - in the Midlands, Home Counties and East Anglia.
