and their humans. I visit people and their domestic housecats in their homes and help them learn to work with their cats, deal with problem behaviors and improve their relationships.

IS THIS YOUR FIRST BUSINESS? No

WHY DID YOU START THIS BUSINESS? I'm the founder of The Nature of Wildworks, a nonprofit wildlife center that provides public outreach programs using wild animals WILD ANIMALS. Animals in a state of nature; animals ferae naturae. Vide Animals; Ferae naturae.  at www.natureofwildworks.org. We often feature wild and exotic cats in the show, and the most-asked question from the audience is, ``How do you train a cat?''

WHERE DID YOU GET THE IDEA? I've been a wildcat wildcat, common name of two Old World cats, the European wildcat, Felis sylvestris, of Europe and W Asia, and the African wildcat, or kaffir cat, F. lybica, of Africa and Asia.  trainer for 25 years, and when the public seemed interested in cat training, I got the idea to apply the same techniques I use with the show animals to people's housecats at home.

HOW LONG WAS IT FROM CONCEPT TO OPENING? Six months.

WHAT DID YOU DO DURING THAT TIME? I wrote a couple articles for newspapers, placed an ad in a local magazine and started getting clients almost instantly.

WHAT WERE YOUR STARTUP COSTS AND HOW DID YOU FINANCE THE BUSINESS? About $1,000 from savings, just for advertising.

WHO DID YOU RELY ON FOR ADVICE? Friends who were business owners and animal lovers.

WHAT HADN'T YOU CONSIDERED BEFORE OPENING? Not much. It's like I predicted it to be.

WHAT IS YOUR EXPECTED REVENUE THIS YEAR? $5,000, but you never know.

WHAT GOALS DO YOU HAVE FOR THE COMPANY? I would like to see the company grow tremendously. My vision is for this unique endeavor to expand and develop into a service that's offered to clients throughout Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  and beyond. Even to the level of setting up a school for cat trainers to employ qualified people to serve clients.
