Camp Fire USA is a nationwide youth organization that began on March 17, 1910 as Camp Fire Girls. The organization has been co-ed since 1975 and has youth from pre-kindergarten through age 21.

 Community Credit Union and Pacific Continental Bank donated $500 each; and Random Lengths and Liberty Bank contributed $250 each for training and scholarships.

The Center for Community Counseling in Eugene has been awarded a $55,000 grant from the Meyer Memorial Trust to pay for hiring a fund-raising coordinator, and $15,300 from the Thomas H. and Sarah K. Bascom Fund and the Ruth Eva Renfroe Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation to pay for a capacity-building project. The center's child abuse and neglect prevention program has received $2,000 from the Autzen Foundation, $500 from the Manley Foundation and $500 from the Oregon Country Fair The Oregon Country Fair (OCF) is a three-day fair that takes place yearly beginning on the Friday of the second weekend in July in Veneta, Oregon, approximately 15 miles west of Eugene, with an attendance of approximately 45,000 over the three day period, with attendance peaking .

The foundation also has awarded grants of $3,000 each to the Center for Community Counseling in Eugene and to Oasis Institute in Eugene for its Rural Tutor Expansion project; grants of $2,000 each to Latham Elementary School in Cottage Grove for a literacy program for at-risk kindergarten students and to South Lane School District for its Read Aloud program; and grants of $1,000 each to the Cottage Grove Area Habitat for Humanity Habitat for Humanity, nonprofit ecumenical Christian organization that enables low-income people to own affordable, livable housing. Headquartered in Americus, Ga., it was founded in 1976 by businessman Millard Fuller and his wife.  for construction of a house and to the LEAD Program in Eugene for its annual Plant-a-Thon fundraiser.

The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation also has awarded grants of $5,000 to the Pleasant Hill School District for its forestry education program; $2,000 each to the Oregon Children's Foundation and the Springfield Education Foundation; $1,800 to Willamette Valley Babe Ruth Baseball for improvements to the Bethel Community Park baseball complex; and $1,000 each to the Bethel School District Bethel School District may refer to:

Based in Roseburg, Oregon, Kenneth Ford founded the company in 1937. It was originally named Roseburg Lumber and operated mills throughout Western Oregon.  in Roseburg, $1,000; Starker Forests Inc. in Corvallis, $3,000.

Starbucks has donated $300 to the Eugene Public Library Foundation. The money is to be used to buy children's books.

Wildlife Safari in Winston has received a $1,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Store in Springfield, to be used in the care of animals.

OASIS Education Center received the following donations for its 9th Anniversary Celebration and Senior Role Model Awards breakfast: $1,000 each from PeaceHealth Center for Senior Health, SELCO Community Credit Union and Valley River Center Valley River Center is a shopping mall located in Eugene, Oregon. Wal-Mart stores in Eugene, Springfield and Cottage Grove have awarded literacy grants to local schools. Eugene stores gave $750 each to Creswell Middle School and Triangle Lake School District, the Springfield store gave $1,500 to the Springfield School District and the Cottage Grove store gave $1,000 to London Elementary School.

The McKenzie River Gathering Foundation has awarded grants to three Eugene-area agencies. The Cascadia Wildlands Project of Eugene received $8,500 for outreach and education in its forest protection campaigns; the Eugene-Springfield Solidarity Network of Eugene received $8,500 to support a campaign for equitable community standards for government incentives to businesses; and the Komemma Cultural Protection Association of Yoncalla received $4,500 in support for Indian Heritage Day.

The Allstate Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Eugene-based Ribbon of Promise for its youth violence prevention campaign.

Wells Fargo has donated $1,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters in Eugene, in honor of Wells Fargo employee Bill Parker, who volunteers with the organization.

The Chambers Family Foundation in Eugene has awarded $5,000 to the Alzheimer's Association Cascade-Coast Office in Eugene, to continue its "Spotlight on Alzheimer's" education series.

The Pearl Buck Center's Families with Special Needs program has received grants of $10,000 from the McKay Family Foundation in Eugene, $2,000 from PacificSource Health Plans in Springfield, $500 from Monaco Coach in Coburg, $318 from Albertson's, $200 from Seven Feathers Hotel and Casino Resort, and $500 from Emerald Empire Kiwanis.

Pearl Buck Production Services received $1,500 from GloryBee Foods.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association was given $52,770 in donations that were raised this month in the Telethon Executive Lock-Up fundraiser, organized by local business people.
