BUSINESS CONFERENCE PANEL SET SPEAKERS INCLUDE CONGRESSMEN, MORE.

LANCASTER - Three congressmen, a former congressman who is now a Fox News host, and California's business secretary will be among the speakers at Friday's Antelope Valley Business Outlook Conference.

Keynote speaker will be ex-Ohio Congressman John Kasich, who spent 17 years in the House of Representatives and now hosts ``Heroes with John Kasich'' and is a substitute host for ``The O'Reilly Factor.''

More than 1,000 business people, elected officials and other civic leaders are expected to attend the conference, a showcase for the Antelope Valley that has been put on annually for 34 years by the Antelope Valley Board of Trade.

The doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for registration and the conference will last until 2:45 p.m. in the Poppy Pavilion at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds n. pl. 1. same as fairground. , 2551 W. Ave. H.

The House Science Committee's Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics chairman Ken Calvert, R- Riverside, will talk about the aerospace industry, including NASA NASA: see National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

U.S. Rep. Howard ``Buck'' McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, will introduce Calvert. U.S. Rep. Bill Thomas, R-Bakersfield, will introduce Kasich.

In addition, state Business, Transportation and Housing Agency Secretary Sunne Wright McPeak will speak, as will Robert Atkins, Los Angeles County Agriculture Commissioner chief deputy.

Curtis Bedke, commander of the Air Force Flight Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933.
