VALENCIA - The second phase of the new Bouquet Plaza shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  is under construction and will be anchored by a 60,000-square-foot Orchard Supply Hardware.

The center, on Bouquet Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia, also will include a Presidente Mexican restaurant. This phase is expected to be completed in the spring.

The first phase of the Plaza is anchored by Crown Books and Best Buy electronics.

VALENCIA - Stuart R. "Rick" Mork, chief financial officer of the Newhall Land and Farming Co., has been promoted to senior vice president of Valencia-based development company.

Mork joined Newhall Land in 1987 as treasurer and was named vice president-finance in August 1992. He was elected chief financial officer in January 1995.

Prior to joining Newhall Land, Mork served as assistant treasurer, director of banking and corporate finance with Santa Fe Santa Fe, city, Argentina
