BUSINESS BRIEFS: Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd.

Australian soft drink bottling concern Coca-Cola Amatil Ltd. said it received the necessary approvals from an Australian court to undertake a planned global restructuring. Coca-Cola Amatil is now free to spin-off its European soft drink bottling assets into a separate company. As part of the restructure, the new concern, Coca- Cola Beverages PLC, will acquire bottling operations in north and central Italy from Coca-Cola Co. The Australian company, which left to focus its operations on the Asia-Pacific, also will buy bottling operations from Coca-Cola Co. in South Korea.
