Dr. Mark Osterloh, a retinal specialist, has joined the surgical eye care team at ClearVision. He performed his residency in Cleveland, Ohio, and retinal fellowship at the University of Tennessee The University of Tennessee (UT), sometimes called the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UT Knoxville or UTK), is the flagship institution of the statewide land-grant University of Tennessee public university system in the American state of Tennessee. .

Dr. Sara S. Batya has joined the Oregon Neurology Associates practice in Springfield. She completed her neurology residency and movement disorder fellowship at Stanford University, after attending medical school at Tulane University.

Dr. Karen Crocker-Wensel, has joined Drs. Tim and Elaine Mitchell at Willamette Valley Psychiatric Medicine after 10 years of practice with PeaceHealth Medical Group.

Charles Applegate has been named branch sales manager for the sales office of Bankers Life and Casualty Company in Eugene. Prior to joining Bankers, he was a regional vice president with Life Policies of America.

The Daily Bagel, at 4770 Village Plaza Loop in Eugene, has been purchased by Srithip Sresthaphunlarp, and is now managed by Jennifer Williams. The two women moved to Eugene with their families this summer. The Daily Bagel offers bagels, breakfast and deli sandwiches, pastries and desserts as well as smoothies, vegetarian entrees, salads, soups, and gourmet coffee.

Glen Gibbons and Eliza Schmidkunz, owners of Inside GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) The European term for a global satellite-based radio navigation system.
