Kimberly Walters has joined KEZI-TV in Eugene as the 11 p.m. anchor and newscast producer. She is replacing Kim Hessel who has moved to Nashville, Tenn. Walters was previously the anchor for the morning and weekend newscast of KMTR-TV in Springfield for two years.

Cathy Steadman Cox has joined Sunwest Management Inc. as administrator of Lone Oak Assisted Living Community in Eugene. She has more than 17 years of experience in health care administration and was most recently with New Horizons In-Home Care.

Kudos

Hayden Homes, based in Redmond, has received the University of Oregon College of Education Alumni Association Business/Education Partnership award. The award recognizes donations that Hayden Homes has made to the Creswell High School athletic department.

Rob Zako has joined 1,000 Friends of Oregon as Willamette Valley transportation solutions advocate serving a region that includes the Willamette Valley and the Oregon Coast from Florence to Astoria. With five years of experience in transportation issues, he will partner with local businesses and civic leaders promoting safe and economical transportation systems.

Lane Transit District has announced the following resident budget committee members: Michael Bean, Aces Counseling Center; Russ Brink, Downtown Eugene Inc.; Elaine Guard, Integrity Rehabilitation Inc.; Betsy Boyd, University of Oregon government affairs; Maureen Sicotte; Dean Kortge, Pacific Benefits Consultants; and Darrel Williams, Pinocchio's Pizza.

Elijah Mack has opened Mos Faded Urban Barbershop and Salon at 960 Seventh Ave. in Eugene. Mos Faded specializes in urban, military and punk barber styles, as well as Afro-American textured hair and alternative color. Also, Destini has joined Mos Faded specializing in custom cuts, coloring, braids, perms, waxing, straightening and extensions.
