Arbor South Architecture Construction of Eugene received a $1,000 award from the National Housing Endowment, the philanthropic arm of the National Association of Home Builders The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is one of the largest trade associations in the United States. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the association organizes one of the largest conventions in North America, The International Builders' Show, which draws more than , for its annual `Mission to Mexico.' Dan Hill, an architect, senior principal and co-founder of the company, started the mission more than 18 years ago. Volunteers travel to Mexico with building materials and have constructed more than 60 single-family homes, a clinic, an orphanage and several churches. Hill also has been honored for his philanthropic accomplishments relating to SCAR/Jasper Mountain, the Reynolds Makeover Project and several other charitable activities.
