Susan Detels, doctor of audiology, has joined Dr. Joyce Brackebusch at Oregon Ear, Nose and Throat PC, at its new location, 360 S. Garden Way, Suite 200, in Eugene. Detels has more than 15 years of experience in the field of hearing healthcare.

Warren Rund has been named agency development manager for the Lane County sales district of Colonial Supplemental Insurance, based in Columbia, S.C. Rund joined the company in 2006. His office is at 30 Country Club Road in Eugene.

Dana Turell has been promoted to vice president at Cawood in Eugene. Turell was previously an account manager with the agency. She is vice president of communications for the Southwest Oregon chapter of the American Marketing Association and serves on the board of the Emerald Executive Association.

John Reed has been named financial consultant for the Eugene/downtown office of LibertyBank. He previously worked as a financial consultant for A.G. Edwards and Sons in Eugene and has 20 years of sales and training experience.

Christy Monson, James Underwood and Janice Mackey, attorneys, have joined Speer Hoyt PC in Eugene. Monson previously was legal counsel and a lobbyist for the League of Oregon Cities. She is a member of the executive committee of the Government Law Section of the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon City Attorneys Association. Underwood was previously judicial clerk to the Judge Kip Leonard in Lane County. Mackey has worked with small and medium-sized businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals and is a frequent guest speaker at the Lane Community College Small Business Development Center.

Cook's Pots & Tabletops of Eugene was named one of America's top three avocational cooking schools by the International Association of Culinary Professionals. The school is owned by Kathy Campbell and Keith Ellis.

Sharee Strausbaugh, owner of A&M Auto Body in Eugene, has been elected to the 2007 board of directors of the Northwest Automotive Trades Association.

Knife River Corporation, formerly Morse Bros., of Harrisburg received the Safety Health and Recognition Program affiliation certificate from the state Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The facility met 58 distinct safety criteria to earn the award.

Hamilton Construction Co. of Springfield received the AGC/Willis Construction Safety Excellence Award in the highway division at the Associated General Contractors of America convention. The award is given to contractors with a proven safety record and cultural commitment to safety.
