The owners of Cafe Zenon have promoted two longtime employees and rehired a former manager. Stephanie Wagner, a server and manager for the past five years, has been promoted to day manager. Kiyallah Heatherstone, who has worked at the restaurant for the past eight years, has been promoted to day manager. Truli Cusick, who served as the cafe's wine and beverage manager from 1995 to 2002, has been rehired in the same position. Also, Julie Fether, former pastry chef at Marche and Triomphe, has been hired as head of production at Palace Bakery, owned by Cafe Zenon owners Mandy Tomson and Brian James.

Open for business

Taco Del Mar, a Seattle-based restaurant chain, has opened a second Eugene store at 3007 Delta Highway North. The store, which sells "Baja style" Mexican food, is owned and operated by Mila and Jeffrey Stevenson. More than 150 Taco Del Mars are open in the Western U.S., British Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Westside Glass, in business since 1927, has a new owner, new location and a new line of business. Julie Collis has taken the business over from her father, Al Collis. The business has moved to 1975 W. Seventh Ave., Eugene, and added a division, Westside Heating & Air Conditioning, headed by Collis's husband, John Sokol.

Ron Perkins and Jeff Cole, partners in METCO METCO Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity  Investment Realty Inc., have purchased the remaining ownership interest of founder Stu Burge. Perkins merged his company, R P Investment Realty, with Burge and Cole in January 2004, becoming majority owner and president. METCO is a full-service brokerage handling residential sales and management, commercial and industrial sales, leasing and management. Cole is in charge of sales and leasing; Perkins runs the property management division and day-to-day operations.
