West Coast Bank has named Anneli Sandell-Kawders as vice president and commercial banking relationship manager, and Brent Murray as assistant relationship manager of the Eugene commercial banking team. Sandell-Kawders most recently worked at Umpqua Bank as vice president and credit review officer. Murray worked as a credit analyst at Siuslaw Bank before coming to West Coast Bank.

Rowena Jackson Rowena Othlie Jackson is a New Zealand prima ballerina, who was born in 1926 in Invercargill. She won a dancing scholarship to study in London at the Saddler's Wells Ballet in 1947.  has been hired at Studio D Videoworks as production assistant for video and television productions.

Terry Potter has opened McKenzie Quilting quilting, form of needlework, almost always created by women, most of them anonymous, in which two layers of fabric on either side of an interlining (batting) are sewn together, usually with a pattern of back or running (quilting) stitches that hold the layers  in her home. She does machine quilting and custom quilts.

Hawes Financial Group, owned by Joe Hawes, has acquired McKenzie Leasing and Finance Inc., which funds small-ticket business equipment. Ray Slaughter, McKenzie Leasing's former owner, remains as chief credit officer and general manager. Hawes assumes responsibility as chief executive officer. Dave Cary, former owner of First Fidelity Financial, has joined the firm as marketing director and Lisa Nicholson, previously with Health First Financial, will serve as portfolio administrator.
