Spectrum Retirement Communities has named executive directors for two of its facilities, both located in Coos Bay: Karla Dieterich with Ocean Ridge Retirement and Assisted Living. and Lori Fairhurst with Ocean Crest Retirement and Assisted Living. Dieterich previously was executive director of Ocean Crest Retirement and Assisted Living and has been with the company for 8 1/2 years. Fair- hurst previously was a registered nurse for both Ocean Crest and Ocean Ridge and has been with the company for three years.

Donna Peterson has been named administrator for Bayberry Commons Assisted Living and Memory Care in Springfield. Peterson, a gerontologist, previously worked for United Healthcare in Portland as an adult/elder counselor and life coach.

Dr. Phoebe Ashley, a Eugene cardiologist, has been named medical director of cardiac rehabilitation, prevention and women's heart programs for the Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute at Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Springfield Family Physicians has added Dr. Lana Gee-Gott, family medicine physician, and Eva Schmidt, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, to the practice. Gee-Gott previously practiced in Modesto, Calif.

FootLoose Massage Center in Eugene has added the following licensed massage therapists to its staff: Melinda Clark, Joseph Johnson, Meredith Brad-shaw and Michaela Scott.

Dave Frohnmayer was named statesman of the year by the Oregon Business Association for his collaborative civic and political leadership in the state of Oregon.

MPower LLC of Eugene received the 2006 Gold award from Horizon Interactive Awards for the mPower Wellness Workshop, a CD-ROM program that uses interactive digital media to teach skills for reducing mood and health problems associated with stress and depression.

The Oregon Chapter of American Public Works has elected the following board officers for 2007: president, Kurt Corey, public works director for the city of Eugene; and president-elect, Rick Olson, CEO of Spec Industries in Eugene.

Tom Jordan was named meet director of the year by the U.S. Track Meet Directors Association. Jordan directs the annual Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field.

Cori Green and Kelly Brye have opened Allstate Insurance Company agencies in the Eugene-Springfield area. Green's office is at 2677 Willakenzie Road, Suite 2, in Eugene. She previously worked in Allstate's claims department. Brye's office is at 3169 Gateway St. in Springfield. He previously owned and operated an Allstate agency in the Seattle area.

Millie Thomas, licensed massage therapist, has opened a business at 1364 Oak St. Thomas worked previously at the Downtown Athletic Club specializing in deep tissue, Swedish and sports injury massage.

Angela Kinari has purchased Direct Home Funding, located at 405 Lincoln St. Kinari previously was a senior loan officer with Certified Financial Services and has been a business owner in Eugene for 10 years.
