BUS RESERVATION DUE TODAY FOR LAUSD MEETING.

Parents seeking free transportation to a Los Angeles Unified School District The Los Angeles Unified School District (the "LAUSD") is the largest (in terms of number of students) public school system in California and the second-largest in the United States. Only the New York City Department of Education has a larger student population.  special-education public hearing next week must call the Special Education Division by noon today to reserve a bus seat.

At issue is a proposed court settlement that would force massive changes in the district's special-education programs.

Bus transportation will be provided to a hearing scheduled for 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Birmingham High School Birmingham High School is a public coeducational high school in the neighborhood/district of Lake Balboa in the San Fernando Valley section of the city of Los Angeles, California. The school is a part of District One of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).  in Van Nuys.

Buses will arrive at the hearings about 45 minutes early to allow parents an opportunity to sign up to speak. Those interested in reserving a bus seat are asked to call (213) 625-4276.
