BURROUGHS SOCCER TOURNAMENT: KAY LEADS ROYAL TO CHAMPIONSHIP; MVP HITS TITLE-WINNER IN OT.

Evan Kay remembered the last time he was in this situation and was determined to produce a different outcome.

The Royal High senior scored three of his five goals of the season on Saturday to lead the Highlanders' boys' soccer team to the championship of the Burroughs tournament at Burroughs High. Kay scored in the sixth minute of overtime in the final to to give Royal a 2-1 victory against Canyon and earn tournament MVP (Multimedia Video Processor) A high-speed DSP chip from Texas Instruments, introduced in 1994.
