PRINCESS Diana's former butler Paul Burrell Paul Burrell, RVM (born June 6 1958, Grassmoor, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire) was the footman for Queen Elizabeth II and then butler for Diana, Princess of Wales. will today be quizzed at her inquest by Mohamed al Fayed's barrister Michael Mansfield. The QC will ask what he meant when he told a 2002 Old Bailey trial that the Queen had warned him of "dark forces" operating in Britain. Burrell, who described himself as Diana's "rock", will also be questioned about a letter she wrote in which she claimed Prince Charles planned to have her killed.
