Meanwhile, a friend of the James family has organized a schedule of home-cooked dinners to be delivered to the hospital. The teen's parents and siblings have been spending the bulk of each day at the burn center, said Cindy Klinger, whose son is a friend of James' older sister, Nancy. ``People feel really bad when this kind of thing happens. You feel so helpless and you want to do something to ease (the family's) burden,'' Klinger said. ``This is a concrete way to show your support.'' Concerned friends had sent Thanksgiving dinner to the hospital the day after the accident, and the support continued from there, she said. ``Some nights they were getting two meals, and (another) night they weren't getting any,'' Klinger added, saying she decided to coordinate the donations so that ``efforts won't be duplicated.'' Those who cook the dinners are asked to prepare enough food for 10 to 12 people, to put it in a disposable container that the family doesn't have to return, and to deliver it to the hospital, Klinger said. ``Some people are not good at cooking - it's not their thing - but they still want to help out,'' she said. ``So I've suggested that they provide gift certificates for restaurants in the (hospital) area.''
