BURLINGTON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. SELLS EMERGENCY RESPONSE, PRODUCT SALES,
 INDUSTRIAL CLEANING BUSINESSES
 SEATTLE, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Burlington Environmental Inc. today announced that it has sold its emergency response, product sales and industrial cleaning businesses to Foss Maritime Co. The sale included all present assets and properties relating to these product and service lines.
 "This transaction will enable Burlington Environmental to focus on and develop its core businesses in the hazardous waste industry, which include treatment, consulting and technology-based remediation services," said Dr. John Craig, president and chief executive officer. Burlington Environmental was recently awarded the National Environmental Compliance Award for two of its hazardous waste treatment facilities.
 Burlington Environmental Inc. provides comprehensive hazardous waste services for customers including major industrial manufacturers in the aerospace, transportation, chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as numerous government agencies. Burlington Environmental Inc. is the largest operator of hazardous waste treatment, recycling, storage and disposition facilities in the Northwest United States.
 Foss Maritime is a premier West Coast company with a strategic interest in marine spill management and related businesses. This transaction will strengthen its capabilities and enhance its opportunities for growth.
