BURGLARS HIT SCHOOL.

For the second consecutive year, burglars have broken into Harding Street Elementary School elementary school: see school.  and stolen valuable office machinery, school officials said.

The burglars broke a school window early Monday Monday: see week. , then made off with a fax machine, computer, laser printer, telephones and a telephone controlling unit, said school Principal Sarah Berry Berry, former province, France

Harding PTA PTA or parent-teacher association: see parent education.  treasurer Mary Gallardo, who has two children at the school, said students are the ones who suffer most from the thefts.

``It just continues to happen, and we cannot afford to take these losses,'' Gallardo said.

To put a stop to the thefts, school officials hope to gather enough money from donations to have a security alarm system installed at the school, 13060 Harding St.
