BURGLARIES OF CARS STOP AFTER ARRESTS 3 TO BE ARRAIGNED THIS WEEK.

SANTA CLARITA Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. The four were apprehended after a Saugus man whose wife's purse was stolen from her car discovered that one of her credit cards had been used at the motel, officials said.

Sheriff's officials said they have received more than 100 reports of vehicle burglaries in the past four weeks.

Detectives working the case were unavailable Monday to discuss any further possible links between those arrested and the burglary spree.

Dole was released on bond Monday, while Lord and Flowers remained jailed with bail set at $30,000 each, authorities said. All three are scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday on burglary charges in Newhall Superior Court.

 more than 50 guests before arresting the suspects. Two were arrested without incident, while the other two crawled into the attic, authorities said. One was found quickly and the other was flushed out with police dogs five hours later.

Last week, sheriff's officials arrested four adults and one juvenile in connection with the burglaries, but have not yet released their names.

Sheriff's deputies said they have recovered some of the stolen property including cell phones, stereo equipment and backpacks.
