BUREAU WANTS PLAN FOR MINE RESTUDIED.

The Bureau of Land Management has ordered that environmental impact studies - including one on air quality - be redone re·done

In a letter provided to U.S. Rep. Howard ``Buck'' McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, the bureau ordered additional study after reviewing public commentary and after consulting with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), independent agency of the U.S. government, with headquarters in Washington, D.C. It was established in 1970 to reduce and control air and water pollution, noise pollution, and radiation and to ensure the safe handling and .

The additional study is due Nov. 17, with the public comment period extended to Jan. 3.
