BUREAU OF NATIONAL AFFAIRS ACQUIRES KENNEDY INFORMATION.


The Bureau of National Affairs BNA (The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc.) is a Washington, D.C.-based publisher of news and information on legislation, regulations, and court decisions for professionals in business and government. It is the oldest wholly employee-owned company in the United States.  (Washington, D.C.) has acquired Kennedy Information (Fitzwilliam, NH) from International Information Investors (III; Santa Monica, CA) and management for $47.7 million, including cash and assumed liabilities.

Kennedy launched its third magazine title, Shareholder Value with an October/November issue. It has an initial controlled circulation of 30,000 CEOs, CFOs, corporate counsel, porfolio managers, and strategic planning professionals. The launch is designed to identify and analyze factors that impact a company's share price and covers strategies and best practices of companies that deliver value.

Kennedy Information was acquired by III in early 1996. At the time, the company produced two newsletters and three directories. It had 1995 revenues of about $2 million. The company currently has 70 staff members, bureaus in London and Los Angeles and offices in New York New York, state, United States
