The city of Burbank has asked the FAA to investigate their allegations. The city is opposed to expanding the airport because of complaints from residents about jet noise, pollution and traffic. The Airport Authority is a separate governmental entity that is run by a panel of nine commissioners appointed by the city councils from Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena.
