BURBANK CITY COUNCIL WON'T BAN VIDEOTAPES.Byline: Daily News BURBANK -- Let the tapes roll at City Council meetings. The council backed down late Tuesday from a proposed resolution to ban videotapes from screening during oral communications -- a block of time when the public can address current issues or air grievances. Some council members have been leery of council candidates and backers rolling campaign videos, and asked the city attorney to draft a resolution that would ban them. But that couldn't be done without banning all videotapes, which also have been used in the past by the public to address issues such as zoning or traffic. ``To take that ability away was never really the intent,'' Mayor Todd Todd , Sir Alexander Robertus 1907-1997.
