BURBANK'S SOCCER GOAL: SEND UNIFORMS, EQUIPMENT TO IRAQ.

BURBANK - In an effort to help Iraqi youngsters, the Burbank chapter of the American Youth Soccer Organization will collect used uniforms and soccer equipment Saturday to be shipped overseas.

The gear will be sent to the U.S. military in Iraq, where it will be distributed through community outreach Outreach is an effort by an organization or group to connect its ideas or practices to the efforts of other organizations, groups, specific audiences or the general public.  programs at schools and orphanages, organizers said.

Many children in the league have played several years and have a uniform for each of those years. Organizers will also be accepting donated do·nate

HOW TO HELP

--Laundered soccer uniforms will be collected between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Burbank Adult School auditorium auditorium
